At the Chesapeake Boathouse, we believe rowing can change lives. Rowers discover how self-discipline pays off, why teamwork is important, and that they can accomplish things they never dreamed possible. They experience the exhilaration that comes with victory while meeting defeat with grace – and a resolve to come back even stronger. Friendships are made, lifelong ties forged.

Chesapeake Boathouse is committed to ensuring that everyone who wants to row has the opportunity. For youth rowers, we're offering Junior Crew scholarships to those with demonstrated financial need. Plans are also underway for an inner city rowing program targeting youth at high schools near downtown.

We also have a commitment to developing adaptive rowing for people of all ages with special needs. We'll be offering opportunities to children from Children's Hospital to "get on the water" during special outings. And we envision development of curriculum and programs to turn the Oklahoma River into a living classroom for area schools.
